MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - A consultant that examined West Virginia University's degree-granting practices will present its findings and recommendations Feb. 2.

Interim Provost Jane Martin told the Faculty Senate on Monday that she and interim President Peter Magrath (muh GRAW) will attend the presentation. Magrath may then outline future steps.

The review followed a scandal last year in which the governor's daughter was awarded a master's degree she hadn't earned.

Spokeswoman Becky Lofstead says the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers looked at records management and procedures across the campus.

That includes the College of Business and Economics, where a WVU audit found potential problems with 70 executive master's of business administration degrees.

The scandal actually occurred in 1999 when the degree was first awarded. That was before Manchin was governor.

will it find all the other degrees that joe's friends and family got?

The report will not show any wrong doing on WVU's part, you can bet on that. This issue will get swept under the rug just like it always has and always will.
