CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A popular breakfast and lunch spot in Charleston is closing the doors.
The owner of Charleston Bagel Bakery on Capitol Street says the building's owner is telling him to leave. Dennis Adkins Jr. says he thought he had a verbal agreement for a five year lease, but he didn't get that in writing.
He says he was told in December the lease was actually month to month and he had until the end of January to close up shop.
Adkins says he's had offers to relocate, but the problem is the costs involved in moving the bagel oven. He says that would cost thousands that he doesn't have.
The Bagel Bakery's last day is next Wednesday.

Is it possible to do a fundraiser so they can move the bagel oven? Downtown Charleston needs places like this for those of us who work there
Obviously he wasn't much of a business man. The business sold itself. Not the person running it.
That is pretty outdated regarding the whole handshake and word deal. But I am sad to see them go, I liked eating there during lunch.
