HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A Saturday morning fight sent one man to the hospital after he was stabbed in the chest four times.
Dispatchers said it happened on 16th Street West next to Champs sports bar in Huntington. The bar owner tells WSAZ the fight started inside the bar and them poured out into the street.

I have been in Champs and other bars from what are called Redneck to Biker Bars...When you have bouncers, owners, waitresses and bartenders that stay sober there is less trouble than what you have at Champs... You pay to go into a place and you expect to be safe...For the bikers true biker clubs try to avoid trouble, but they are like anyone else they will defend themselves and what is theirs....Champs is a place that needs to be shut down.

First, I have also worked in this bar and to defend the bartenders, they do cut the customer off when they've had too much to drink. That doesn't stop their friends from going to the bar and buying it for them. Second, you can't blame the bikers for I know who witnessed this fight and an average everyday joe started the fight. These fights happen in every bar and just so happened it was at this one that night. I've been going to this bar for a long time, before and even after working there and have never seen weapons pulled. Some people just can't handle their booze and need to stay at home. It's a good bar and I will continue to take my business there. You go there for a good time, not to fight.
