IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- If the letters F-A-F-S-A give you a headache just looking at them, you are not alone.
A Free Application for Federal Student Aid is a major financial help for students in college, or enrolling for the first time.
The application must be filled out each year to qualify for aid, and it can be confusing.
You can get some free help at College Goal '09.
Ohio University Southern is hosting the event.
People will be on hand to help students fill out the paperwork needed to get financial help for college.
A spokeswoman for OUS says that because the economy is in such bad shape right now, it's best to apply for aid as soon as possible.

I think they should go around to all high schools and help the seniors with this. My parents did not attend college so unfortunately was no help when I went to apply. This would give options to those who are graduating. Good job!!!
Ahem . . . cough . . . er . . . It's actually FAFSA. F-A-F-S-A.
