MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) -- Woodrow Wilson High School is the winner of this year's West Virginia Regional Science Bowl.

The high school's four-person team defeated 15 other teams Saturday in the 18th annual competition to win an expense-paid trip to the National Science Bowl, scheduled for April 30 to May 5 in Washington, D.C.

Bridgeport, George Washington, and Huntington high schools finished second through fourth, respectively.

The regional and national competitions are sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, which operates a research site in Morgantown.
