It's official. The town of Clendenin will be selling its water company.
Tuesday nearly 300 voters hit the polls to vote on the sale, but in the end voters decided to sell the aging water system to West Virginia American Water.
Here's how the vote broke down. 184 people were for the sale, while 96 were against.
The town stands to gain $150,000 dollars from the sale. The water company would then make more than $2 million dollars in upgrades to the water system.
