Father of Murdered Teen Arraigned on Unrelated Charges

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The father of a murdered teen in Charleston was back in court Wednesday on unrelated charges.

Ricky David Gravely was arraigned on second offense battery of a police officer. He told the judge he was drunk when he kicked a police officer.

Gravely is currently serving a two year prison sentence. He was convicted last week on two counts of domestic battery. These charges are unrelated to the other crime.

Gravely's daughter, Nalisha, was murdered inside the Taco Bell on Patrick Street in Charleston last summer. Desmond Clark has been charged with her murder.

Gravely's trial is set for May 11.
