LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A new program kicked into high gear Monday to help kids stay healthy.
The challenge is for Hamlin Elementary School kids to exercise an extra 15 minutes each day. The target groups are 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, and the goals are to help them weigh healthier options in a fun way. The program is a partnership with Lincoln County Primary Care and has roots at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University.
The program will last 10 weeks, and organizers hope the kids will take lessons they learned into their summer break. For much more, click on the video link above.
