CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Early voting for the primary election in Dunbar and St. Albans starts Friday.
The most contested race is for the mayor's seat in both cities.
Incumbent Jack Yeager is running against CB Rigney, Ray Floren and Roger Wolfe on the Democratic side. On the Republican side, Lanny Coberly Senior is running unopposed.
Yeager has been in office since November when he was chosen by city council to fill the vacated seat after Roger Wolfe was impeached by a three judge panel.
In St. Albans, Incumbent Dick Callaway faces former Mayor Richard Milam of the Citizens party. No candidates have filed to run on the side of the peoples party.
Callaway was appointed mayor after Mayor Greg Jones died from a brain tumor.
The actual primary election is April 4 for both cities.

I'm voting for Richard Milam. What ever happen to leaders with ethics, virtue or morality? Sure awful hard to find in Saint Albans right now time to say good bye to appointed Mayor Callaway and Police Chief Crawford. Maybe Callaway can try and buy some more votes with a bonus for city employees."oh yea I will check on that".
I also would like to vote for Milam, Maybe some of the things I have talked to our "now" mayor with, will get something done instead of just a "oh yea I will check on that". Our city has become a trash dump.It used to be a beautiful place to live but now most neighborhoods have at least one real dump in their block, An nothing being done about it.Come on Richard, Let's make this place shine again.I would love to once again be proud of where I live.
Yes Callaway was appointed not elected. I'm still irked that he raised our water bills by 50% to replace 80 year old pipes, and I've yet to see anyone work on any. I'm voting for Milam.
