LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Annie Toffey received the thrill of a lifetime last week when visited by her favorite president, former President George W. Bush.
The 8-year-old girl says she wrote the former president a letter of support last year because many people were "being very, very rude" to him. In the letter, she invited him to Spendthrift Farm in Lexington.
Spendthrift owner B. Wayne Hughes, who is Bush's friend, hand delivered the letter to the White House.
Bush replied with a thank you letter and a visit last Tuesday.
Toffey told the Lexington Herald-Leader that Bush is her favorite president because he was president for most of her life.

Hopefully Annie will someday see why this man was treated the way he was. He was an oil thirsty dictator who willingly sent innocent Americans to be slaughtered in an unjust invasion, and commanded them to slaughter innocent civilians as well.
You make a comment with the name anarchy that says "we all need to respect the office of President no matter if we like them or not". Talk about a contradiction, puff puff pass kid! I hope you get to take a duck hunting trip with your hero Dick Cheney.;-)
I use to be a Rep but now I cant stand either side. I do like how Bush responded to 911...I just dont agree with what we did afterwards in rebuilding those countrys. I wouldve left them a smoking heep. You think Obama cares? He is like the rest of them millionaires politicans except he is a socialist. Now insted of our money going to big business it will go to welfare and the goverment. You people need to wakeup and get a mind of your own. As far as the little girl meeting "W" and looking up to him, I think that is just fine. Cause we all need to respect the office of President no matter if we like them or not. This great nation is all of ours. Sorry for any type o's or improper grammar :-)
