LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Twelve people are under arrest and charged in connection with a prescription drug ring that is connected to Florida pain clinics, according to investigators in Lawrence County.
David Marcum, the chief investigator, says those arrested face charges related to the sale of oxycodone and other prescription drugs. The arrests are part of a two month long investigation. Marcum says the main source of the drugs can be traced to pain clinics in Florida.
The list of the adults charged includes:
Ronald McSorley, 20
Shirley Combs, 41
Alan Combs, 29
James Fugett, 48
Loretta Thompson, 50
Stacy Thompson, 32
Christopher J. Adkins, 33
Brett Howell, 28
Danial L. Cox, 34
Paul D. Lewis, Jr., 27
Emily Gipson, 24
Dana M. Cox, 25
The cases will be presented to a grand jury for indictment Friday along with ten other drug-related cases.
Marcum says more arrests could come next week.
