MASON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Four people are in jail after a meth lab bust at a trailer park in Mason County, West Virginia. It happened just before 9 p.m. Friday on Jerry's Run Road off State Route 2.
Deputies got a tip that some people there were operating a meth lab. They arrived at the trailer at 79 Nathan Lane in Apple Grove and knocked on the door. When the people inside answered the door, deputies smelled methamphetamine and arrested Troy McQueen and David Myers. Both are charged with operating a clandestine methamphetamine lab. According to the Sheriff, McQueen owns the trailer park and a neighboring pawn shop.
Acting on information, deputies checked a nearby trailer and found another meth making operation. James Smith and Kimberly Kirk of 73 Nathan Lane were also charged with operating a clandestine methamphetamine lab and also exposing children to methamphetamine manufacturing. All four were taken to the Western Regional Jail.
A two month old child at the second residence was placed in the custody of a relative.
