Patrol: Cruiser Spun Into Truck Killing Three In Gallia County

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a fiery crash last week that killed two officers and another person happened when the cruiser spun into an oncoming truck in Gallia County, Ohio. Investigators released new details today but are still conducting tests and analyzing a reconstruction of the crash.

Lieutenant Shawn Davis says investigators have not determined why the cruiser's emergency lights and sirens were on or how fast it was going, only that it was moving at high speeds.

The driver of the truck, Lori Smith of Vinton, Ohio was killed in the crash along with trooper Joshua Risner and Sergeant Dale Holcomb.

The final report is expect to be finished next week after analysis of the crash reconstruction next week.
