Fatal Logging Accident

A man is dead after a logging accident near the Kanawha-Clay County line.

Sheriff's deputies say Paul Duffield was cutting the limbs off a tree when another tree uprooted and hit him in the head, killing him.

The accident happened around nine Thursday morning in Spangler, that's near Mammoth.

Duffield was 58 years old and from Clay County. He worked for D and R Logging.
