A man who's been arrested more than 70 times in Cabell County will now spend life in prison.
A judge sentenced Robert "Nu Nu" Newsome to the life term today.
A jury found that Newsome was a habitual offender because he'd been convicted of felonies three different times.
Most of his arrests stemmed from drug dealing. Cabell county prosecutor Chris Chiles says the three strikes rule should definitely apply here. “I hope it does send a message that this type of activity will not be tolerated. Pe police have been working very hard and I think you're seeing the results of that."
Newsome will not be eligible for parole for at least 15 years under the life term he received today.
