WEST PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Open the latest issue of Playboy Magazine, and you'll find that Candice Cassidy reigns as Miss June.
The 23-year-old blonde is a 2004 West Portsmouth High Graduate.
Her family says she recently graduated from Shawnee State with a psychology degree and owns a local dance studio.
Her magazine bio and Myspace page says Candice is a farm girl, who plans on earning her masters degree, loves to party with Hugh Hefner and the girls at the Playboy Mansion and her dream date would be Eminem.
Miss June 2009 made her first Playboy appearance back in 2006 as a Cyber Girl, recreating classic centerfolds from decades gone by.
Candice says she hopes to marry and have a family within the next five years- but in the meantime she says there are so many things she wants to do.
Candice does not use her real last name. She says all Playboy models change their names for safety and security reasons.
Her family says she picked Cassidy from a favorite cousins’ first name.

WOW! I cant believe some of these comments! I think everyone needs to realize that #1 Everyones idea of "morals" is different! #2 It 2009! I'm thankful that I live in a time where being a woman is something to be proud of, and its ok to work hard, make lots of money, and be sexy, all at the same time! Doing nude, professional, photographs does not mean that your sleeping w/ Hugh Heffner! Whoever wrote that, needs to get out more,& maybe seperate themselves from the internet! Not to be a traitor to my community, but in bigger areas, having a publication is something to be proud of!People need to see photos as what they are--PHOTOS.Stop over annalyzing!Honestly, in my oppinion,if youre hating on her, youre only mad b/c u never had the opportunity! As for Candice's dance studio, I dont know her personally, but plan on enrolling my 2 year old this fall!I've seen pics from her recitals-CORRECTION- PRODUCTIONS! She seems to be a really creative & driven instructor..a breath of fresh air!
I am amazed at the comments on here.I went to highschool with Candice and she was a very bright and very friendly girl. She could dance like no one else for the musicals. She is a grown adult and has made a decision on how she wants to make a life. Just because she pose naked does not mean that she cannot run a dance studio. My daughter is going to take lessons from her because I cannot see where it in anyway harms a child! If you dont agree with what she did, then dont buy the magazine! It's simple. She is from a small town and made more money for one pictorial than most will earn in a year! Atleast she's not on welfare living off the taxpayers dollar! Also, how many famous people have posed nude and went on to get very good opportunities afterwards. Give her some credit, she had the body and she took a shot at it. There is a lot worse going on in Portsmouth every minute of the day!
WHO is peaches? Yes Candice did graduate from SSU She has her degree in her hand. Crazy people in my family did it to themselves to eliminate them out of my life. They put me through heck since i was like 9 yrs old You so called people don't even know me and if you are so nosy them just ask me in person. CANDICE IS MY BEST FRIEND AND SHE WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR ME!!!!! MICHELLE!
