The controversy of the pink bridge in Huntington is becoming even more colorful. Early Friday morning, vandals spray painted their own designs on the 8th Street Bridge.
Thursday, Mayor David Felinton said the bridge near Ritter Park will stay pink despite a resolution by council requesting a stop order. The mayor gave Jason Sansom permission to paint the bridge on 8th Street pink to create awareness for breast cancer.
Sansom plans to continue painting the bridge pink Sunday morning. Neighbors may go to court to try and stop the painting project.
