NOVEMBER 15, 2006 -- A man is painting bridges in Huntington to support breast cancer awareness. Now, another man has written a song about it. Listen to it and tell us what you think about this controversy. The song is in support of the bridge being painted pink.

"The only people that seem to be opposed to the pink bridge are the richies who live in the park area. They think they own this town.Many of them do,apparently. Leave the guy alone. It's only a bridge, for goodness' sake. The [person] who attacked Mr. Sansom should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for assault and battery and pollution of a waterway. He should be jailed and made to pay for the paint. Or better yet, put a paintbrush in his hand and make him help."

"Although I do not have to look out my window and see this bridge, I have seen it many times . If this was done for the right reasons I do not see the big deal. My step-mom is going through breast cancer right now, maybe someone should volunteer with a bucket and collect some donations (to give to cancer research) beside this bridge and make something positive out of this!!!"

"Looks a lot better than it did. I know Jason and he is a very nice young man who cares deeply for others and was only trying to make a statement on the issue of breast cancer. As a 3 time cancer survivor myself, I know that it sometimes takes little things such as this to make you smile. My 3 episodes were not breast cancer so I don't actually have a specific color but if I did I would be proud to have something in my neighbor painted to show support for the survivors and those who are battling this terrible disease."
