SEVERE WEATHER: High Water Reported in Kanawha Valley

NITRO, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Heavy rain is causing some high water problems in and around Nitro.
Mayor Rusty Casto tells WSAZ.com some water got into Nitro Elementary School and in at least two homes along 2nd Avenue and 19th Street.
However, no major flooding has been reported in the area.
911 dispatchers tell WSAZ.com high water is also covering Route 21 in Sissonville near the Rich Oil Station.
The high water also hit the Marmet Health Care Center along Sutphin Drive. A spokesperson tells WSAZ.com the water has been cleaned up and no damage was reported.

Some shoddy work going on in Belle, streets that used to have no problems at all are now having water backing up and not draining fast at all. Lot of taxpayer money being wasted up here!

1) Ok Fred - the cat joke is not funny (at least not to me). 2) Rich Oil is not in or near Sissonville. It just happens to be located on Sissonville Drive.

its been flooding bad here... i got to see a cat float down the road and down into the stream... poor cat i am not sure it made it
