CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- It's the one weekend a year when all you need is your fishing pole and tackle box, no fishing license required.

June 13th and 14th marks the the 20th Annual Free Fishing Weekend.

The idea behind the no strings attached weekend is to promote the fishing industry.

The fact that it's happening around Father's Day is no mistake either.

West Virginia residents and non-residents can take part.
