Town Elects Youngest Female Mayor in W.Va.'s History
Tashua Allman only graduated from Glenville State College last month, but she's already made her presence felt in the wider world.

GLENVILLE, W.Va. (AP) - Tashua Allman only graduated from Glenville State College last month, but she's already made her presence felt in the wider world.
The 21-year-old Parkersburg native was elected mayor of Glenville as a write-in candidate, beating a former occupant of the office by a single vote.
Allman may be the youngest female mayor in the state's history, a fact she says makes her proud.
The Gilmer County office comes with a $12,000-per-year salary and a term of two years.
Allman first got a taste of running for office as student body president at Glenville State.
