BOYD COUNTY, KY (WSAZ) - Five people are in jail Saturday morning, and four of them are accused of trafficking drugs in Boyd County.
Sergeant Robert Donta says Friday evening investigators confiscated over 1,300 prescription pills from Jerry Bentley. Donta says the street value of the Oxycodone and Xanax pills is over $27,000. Bentley also had more than $8,000 in cash with him when he was arrested. Donta says Bentley is an Ashland businessman, and Bentley told police that he owns about 40 rental properties in Boyd County. Bentley was caught delivering pills to a sheriff's department employee. He's charged with trafficking a controlled substance and tampering with evidence.
Officers also arrested Roger Sampson and Michael Smith. Both are charged with trafficking a controlled substance. Investigators say the Oxycodone pills these suspects had were packaged for resale.
Also arrested were Bryan Querry and Mary Alley. Sergeant Donta says when the two were approached by police, Alley gave a bag of pills to Querry. Querry then threw the bag of pills over a roof. Alley is charged with trafficking a controlled substance and Querry is charged with tampering with evidence.
Police say at this time, the three incidents don't appear to be connected.
All five suspects are in the Boyd County Detention Center. They are all from Boyd County except for Sampson. He is from Florida.

Amen ERIC.....Accountability!!
(street sweeper)& (me), I think you need to get your decade straight.Something someone MIGHT have done 15 or 20 years ago does not reflect what is going on in their life today.I think you R trying to turn the focus away from yourself. Sites like these just help people like you slander people you know nothing about. You just want to cause someone else problems so you can go on doing what ever it is you are doing.Don't say things about people that you may THINK you know all about. And actually know nothing about at all. Innocent people are usually affected By things people say and are not even sure about themselves.Things are not always as they seem. You should not throw rocks when you live in a glass house.
