ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- After decades on stage and entertaining audiences, Roy Clark still loves to perform.

Saturday, the guy that hosted "Hee-Haw" for about 20 years came to Ashland's Paramount Arts Center to wow the crowd with some country tunes.

Clark was the first country music artist to guest-host the "Tonight" show, with Johnny Carson.

He's a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and his favorite role was a recurring one on the hit show, "The Beverly Hillbillies"

Saturday night he entertained with some of his favorites like "Ghost Riders in the Sky" and a few of his own like "Yesterday When I was Young" and "Tips of my Fingers."

Clark is still releasing new CD's on his own label.

Roy Clark is an amazing mix of talent, humor, and humanity. He made a point of introducing his "family" of musicians to the audience. He was sure to point out the youngsters in the band and his support for them and their careers. "Roy's Toys," as Roy refers to the band, were a great performance as well. Roy left us with words of wisdom. He said to please go out and help someone in need. Especially a stranger. Then, they will help someone and then that person will help someone. He really wants all of us to spread love. Thanks, Roy.
