IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) – Bikers hit the road to raise money for an expensive battle.
Hundreds of bikers came out for the ride Sunday afternoon in Ironton. The ride was for Jacob Thacker, who has been battling brain cancer for almost a year.
Thacker’s mother and father haven't worked since he got sick, and today the community got together to try to help the family.
"I can't even express the gratitude that myself or my husband or my family in general can express,” Jacob’s mother Stacey Thacker said. “It’s been wonderful. It’s emotional.”
The family hopes to have this ride every year. Stacey Thacker says she hopes the money raised will help researchers find a cure.

This is great to see the community pulling together to help this little boy and his family. I did not know about the benefit and would like to help. Does anybody know where I can send a donation? My heart and prayers go out to this precious child and his family.
