Holzer Clinic Fills the Gaps in Gallia County
It's a new partnership that means more money and more resources for those who need it most, thanks to a generous donation.

Gallipolis, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Just as local agencies in Ohio prep for major budget cuts, one gets a big shot in the arm.
Holzer Clinic donated $30,000 to the Gallia County Department of Job and Family Services Thursday.
“That money will go to provide caseworkers and maintain what we've got” said Dana Glassburn, Director of Gallia County DJFS.
The agency is facing major cuts as Ohio hands down severe reductions in an effort to balance the state budget.
In addition to the extra funds, comes a new partnership-a satellite JFS office inside Holzer Clinic.
“We’ve been able to strike a deal to place representatives in our office who can help sort needs,” said Patrick Connors, Holzer Clinic CEO.
“With Holzer offering to provide the facility, we can do same work there and take advantage of the traffic there,” said Glassburn.
Holzer's donation qualifies for a federal match of an additional $30,000.
The Gallia County Department of Job and Family Services also received a $23,000 award today for a 100% accuracy rate in food assistance payments.

Even though much of what the other two bloggers have posted may be true, I have to give credit where credit is due. Without Job and Family Services being kept afloat, many of the children in our community would be at risk. I appauld and respect Hozer Clinic for giving financial support to an agency that helps the most helpless in our community. Thank you, Holzer Clinic, for caring enough to help out our community in a time when it needs it the most.

This is a publicity stunt that prempts the its merger with Holzer Medical Center. The people of Gallia Co. are controlled by an Oligarchy and they just dont realize it. Brent Saunders is going to lead the "new parade" of Holzer. The is the same guy who is the Gallipolis City Solicitor, former county prosecutor, on the OVB bank board, on the Holzer Board, ect ect ect....who prosecutes people in the village of Gallipolis for no front license plate on the their vehicle but refuses to put a front plate on his own SUV. So read the fluff piece aout how Holzer Clinic is helping the people in need of Gallia Co. When in truth the Oligarchy needs people to be in need to service their own lifestyle and privlidges. Its the #1 reason why this community is going down and fast...so I say again read the "fluff" but try to see beyond the smoke and mirrors.

I like how private companies will bail out the people who are overpaid and dole out welfare checks. Some people deserve them, however most are lazy. However private companies and citizens only want to complaint about the service they get from underpaid fireman and police, who are busy dealing with the welfare recipiants.
