CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A bride wearing "Sponge Bob Square Pants" print and strangers in the crowd; sounds like a bad dream for some brides.
But for Becky Bolte it was perfect. She themed the wedding around Charleston's FestivAll. It's theme is "when the city becomes a work of art." Becky says a wedding is a work of art.
The groom, Andy Park, even sported an eclectic jacket, one made for him by his bride.
The wedding dress was made up of different pieces of fabric sent to Becky by her friends and family.
"I knew for a moment that maybe it wouldn't be beautiful," but it would be fun to work with people and make the decisions together."
The couple got married Saturday afternoon in Charleston's Davis Park.
The bride and groom also wanted to find a way to give back to the community. Instead of gifts, they accepted donations for Manna Meal.

To Anonymous on July 28, 2009 at 06:58 PM. This is news because it is always nice to hear a "feel good story". "News" doesn't always have to be something bad, political, or serious...sometimes it's good to just hear a heart warming story. Thanks to this couple for giving back...way to go!
What a bunch of idiots! This is why WV people are stereotyped.
