W.Va. Music Hall of Fame Eyes Permanent Location
The West Virginia Music Hall of Fame is looking at state-owned arts and crafts showplace Tamarack as a potential permanent home for its growing collection.

BECKLEY, W.Va. (AP) -- The West Virginia Music Hall of Fame is looking at state-owned arts and crafts showplace Tamarack as a potential permanent home for its growing collection.
A permanent exhibit of hall of fame displays is projected to open at the Beckley attraction in September. On display will be an old Victrola record player, a jukebox and instruments that belonged to famous West Virginia musicians.
Michael Lipton, the hall of fame's project director, says he's been talking with state and federal officials about funding sources for a permanent building on the Tamarack grounds.
Currently, the hall of fame is based in an office at the West Virginia Cultural and History Center at the Capitol.
