ST. ALBANS, W.Va (WSAZ) -- The St. Albans Police Department has called off their search for Joe Tummons
Police say Mr. Tummons called his family and friends Satuday to let them know he is fine. They told police he sounded as though he was not in any trouble or danger.
Tummons would not tell them where he was or what he was doing, but he assured them he would explain when he returned home.
Joe Tummons had not been heard from since July 1, 2009. The last conversation anyone had with him was over the phone. In that conversation, he said he was going to Arkansas to see his sister. His sister however is in Texas and was never in Arkansas.
Mr. Tummons is the owner of Joe's Mart in St Albans.

What's so important that someone would leave with out telling his employees and loved ones that he just walked away from? He had everyone so worried about him. We still don't know if he's ok. If he is ok, then what about the friendships? He's not married he didn't have to explain to anyone. Actions do speak louder than words "lady" maybe you should listen!

He went to see a woman. Probably a really really young one and didn't want his family to know. Shame on him for causing worry to his family! I always say, "if you've got the ^&*% to do something, then have the ^&*% to say you did it or are gonna".

I hope that Joe returns home soon. He is a very nice guy and runs a reputable business in St. Albans. We wish you well Joe.
