Two Hurt at Floyd County Mine Site
The accident happened Thursday night at a mine operated by Frasure Creek Mining. That is near the town of Hippo.

FLOYD COUNTY, Ky (WSAZ) –Two people have been hurt at a mine site in Floyd County, Ky.
The Kentucky Office of Mine Safety and Licensing says the accident happened Thursday night at a mine operated by Frasure Creek Mining. That is near the town of Hippo.
The agency says the accident happened when an unoccupied pickup truck apparently rolled down a roadway hitting two workers operating a drill.
Harold Skaggs, 51, of Louisa, Ky., and Frank B. McCoart, 71, of Van Lear were airlifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital. No word on their conditions yet.
In an unrelated accident, eight miners were hurt when a mantrip malfunctioned at a coal mine in Muhlenburg County, Ky.
None of the injuries are life threatening.
A mantrip is a vehicle that carries miners in and out of coal mines.
