Teays Valley Speedway Robbed at Gunpoint
Putnam County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating an armed robbery that happened early Friday morning in Teays Valley.

TEAYS VALLEY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Putnam County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating an armed robbery that happened early Friday morning in Teays Valley.
The armed robbery happened around 1:00 a.m. at the Speedway at the intersection of Teays Valley Road and Mount Vernon Road.
Sheriff Mark Smith tells WSAZ.com the man walked into the convenience store with a silver revolver and demanded Marlboro Red cigarettes and money.
The man appears to be in his twenties. He was wearing a black ski mask, blue jeans and a hoodie with tan sleeves and a brown body. The Sheriff says the right leg of his jeans was ragged and the pocket was torn.
The man ran out of the store's back door towards Mount Vernon Road. He did get away with four cartoons of cigarettes and an undisclosed amout of money.
