Vigil Planned for 16-Year-Old Drowning Victim
Family and friends say they will gather this week to remember a teenager who drowned Friday at Summersville Lake.

SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Family and friends say they will gather this week to remember a teenager who drowned Friday at Summersville Lake.
Friends tell WSAZ.com that the victim was a student at Nicholas County High School. He was just 16 years old.
The group is planning a vigil, but the details are still being worked out. We'll update you as soon as we learn more.
Police have not released the teenager's name.
Update: Saturday 10 p.m.
SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- 911 Dispatchers confirm a teenager rushed to the hospital Friday night did in fact drown.
The boy was just 16 years old. His identity hasn't been released yet.
The circumstances around the drowning are still being investigated.

SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One person was rushed to the hospital after 911 responded to a possible drowning Friday night.
It happened at Summersville Lake around 9:30 p.m.
911 dispatchers say a deputy was patrolling the lake at the time and a boy was taken to the hospital.
As of Saturday, 911 dispatchers had no current information on the victim's condition.

I knew Ryan personally he was a great bassist and a good skater i had classes with him in middle school in fact he was one of the first kids i met in middle school on of the nicest kids you'd ever meet so God Bless him and his family
