They've already been taking applications online, but Tuesday morning was the first chance to apply in person at P.R.C.

P.R.C. handles customer service for other major corporations.

They've already had a big response, 50 people walked through the doors just while we were there.

Many of them are former employees of Applied Card Systems, the company that occupied the building before it left town last year.

Now those same people are hoping to work for the new company.

There's also a group of people who lost jobs when the Mileage Plus call center closed in Barboursville.

P.R.C. won't comment about the pay scale, but we know from other locations throughout the country that the company pays up to $12 a hour depending on experience and work schedules.

Christina Maynard, a job applicant, said, "I think it's a really good opportunity for people like me to grow in West Virginia and to get good pay."

P.R.C. Executive Dan Tompkins said, "This is primarily a customer service center, obviously experience on the phone or experience in the service industry is going to be beneficial but many of the jobs are entry level."

The business will be open from 8 am until 7:30 pm everyday this week for applicants to show up.

Expect to spend about two hours there for the initial screening process, and if your hired, there will be a few weeks of paid training before the job begins.

To get to the P.R.C. building, you take the 5th Street exit off Interstate 64 in Huntington.

Go south and take the first right past Dairy Queen.

The building is at the top of the hill.
