Herd Picked 5th in C-USA East
After a 4-8 record in 2008, Marshall's football team has been picked to finish 5th in Conference USA's East Division again in 2009.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- After a 4-8 record in 2008, Marshall's football team has been picked to finish near the basement of the Conference USA's East Division again in 2009.
The voting was done by media members who cover Conference USA.
The Herd was 3-5 in C-USA action in 2008, finishing tied with UCF and UAB for last in the East.
They ended the 2008 season with four straight losses (at ECU, 19-16, OT; vs. UCF, 30-14; at Rice, 35-10; vs. Tulsa, 38-35).
East Carolina is picked to win the East, while Houston was voted tops in the West. The Houston Cougars were selected the conference's overall winner.

WEST DIVISION:
1. Houston (22) 142
