KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A fire truck responding to a fire call went over a hillside in Kanawha County after the road gave out, injuring four firefighters.
It happened around 9:00 p.m. Thursday on Big Fork Road near Frame.
A dispatcher at the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department says the rain caused the road to crumble under the truck. One person was treated for a broken arm, another for a back injury, and two others were treated at the scene. No injuries are reported to be serious.
The dispatcher says the door was slightly jammed in the truck, but the firefighters were able to get out without too much trouble.

wow did we (ff) hurt your feelings by being rude or arrogant? well if you would take the time to look at it from our point of view ie. non-emergency personel getting in the way of ff's and medics trying to do there job, people driving to fast and not slowing even when the red lights are flashing everywhere or my favorite "rubber-necking" if you do any of these things guess what you deserve what you get and that is being told to leave or slow down in a not-so-polite way.
I Think you people that have been making stupidious comments have been Volunteer Fifefighters at one time but have been kicked off the department for ignorance
what does rude firefighters to a handful of people have to do with the accident caused by a road giving way under a fire truck that was carrying a 1,000 gallons of water after a week of rain? 4 people could of been killed, does that not matter or are you saying that is what all firefighters derserve because maybe a handful of ff can be rude.
