LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- The Lawrence County, Ohio, Sheriff’s Office is investigating a rash of residential burglaries in the Kitts Hill area that is now expanding to the Deering area.
The break-ins are occurring day and night when the homeowners are away.
The suspects are stealing small items like jewelry, power tools, guns and other things that are easy to carry away from the homes.
The sheriff’s office is following several leads at this time. Sheriff Jeff Lawless is asking that anyone with information concerning the burglaries, please call the sheriff’s office. Also, call if you notice suspicious people or vehicles in your neighborhood.
Sheriff Lawless urges everyone to secure their home when leaving and ask trusted friends and neighbors to keep an eye on your home while you are away.

Hi Folks , Our home was one of the many robbed & torched in Kitts Hill, I'm trying really hard to have the US Attorney for our district & the Ohio Attorney General come in for help. These numbers can be found on the web. For change we all need to report abuse. Power of the people, Never give up!
From the rumors going around, these burglaries were/are being done by a couple of 17 year old high school boys. It's been said that they've been bragging down in Ironton about committing them. Keep talking young men, so the rest of us can rest assured that you're forced to face the repercussions you have coming. One of the alleged perpetrators lives within eyesight of the two burglaries committed in Kitts Hill on Co. Rd 5. I hope the police agencies monitor this site to pick up leads.
i hope lawrence co dont starting turning out like huntington drugies thieves ect thats all there is in huntington
