UPDATE @ 2:30 Wednesday 8/19
MASON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The precautionary boil water advisory issued for customers of the Town of Mason Water System has been lifted.

The boil water advisory was issued back on August 7 following the relocation of a water line for the town sidewalk project. This caused a disruption in water service.

UPDATE @ 8pm Friday
MASON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The town of Mason Water Department has issued a boil water advisory for all customers on its water system.

The advisory is issued because an 8-inch line needed to be relocated because of a town sidewalk project.

All water used for drinking, cooking and for brushing teeth should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute and allowed to cool before use.

This advisory is purely precautionary, as there has been no evidence of contamination.

This boil water advisory is in effect until further notice.

For more information, call the Mason Water Department at 304-773-5574.
