ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A bizarre traffic stop has put one teen in jail, and police say drugs are at the root of the problem.
St. Albans police say 18-year-old Jonathan Duff was behind the wheel of a car that was sitting in traffic on Park Street, not moving.
That's when police found Duff and a female passenger unconscious in the car. Officers believe they were both huffing inhalants. Police also found Oxycodone pills in Duff's pocket.
It all happened around 8 p.m. Friday night.
Officers also noticed that Duff's car matched the description of a car they were looking for. They believe Duff was also the one responsible for hitting and damaging a chain link fence at the Love Lexus car dealership in St. Albans.
Duff is in the South Central Regional Jail, charged with a handful of crimes. The most serious is DUI, but also include simple possession, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license. He was also out on bond for transferring and receiving stolen property.

To Rev of what from 8:46 pm today: Here is a list of people that believe like I do, please visit their websites and tell them they are deranged and ignorant...none of which I called anyone for believing the things they do..www.leap.cc, www.wonpr.org, stopthedrugwar.org, norml.org, mpp.org...just to name a few. Take a look at who is involved in these organizations and I will not hold my breath for the apology that would be due me once you have. Just because I have an opinion that differs from your expectation of a reverend, always assuming you christians have cornered the market on the title, doesn't give you the right to tell me I'm ignorant. You call into question my credentials, but I have repeatedly challenged people to contact me by email and put my biblical knowlege to the test. Two people have, and neither of them have quoted a single verse of scripture to back their opinion, I have quoted dozens that support my own. As always, RevMike420@gmail.com, up to the challenge?
Well Mike, if "addiction is an illness" as you say, that would put you somewhere between mentally deranged and just plain ignorant. I've never seen someone so addicted to their own rhetoric. I base that on the book of common sense in case you were wondering. One book you've obviously never read.
To Patsy: I keep saying the same thing, but you are preaching to a choir of "holier than thou" christians, they must be better than jesus, cause they know what is best, and they know that what jesus really wants, though he never really says it, is retribution and blood for even the smallest offense. If you don't believe as these folks do, they will surely condemn you in the name of "their" jesus. addiction is an illness, mental if not physical. Would you lock up an alcoholic in jail just because he sits at home and drinks himself to sleep every night? No, you'd only lock him up if he committed an offense against someone else, nevermind he is slowly killing himself. forgiveness, mercy, and tolerance was the way of Jesus, but not the way of the "christ-like" ... these armchair warriors believe because they "know the truth" they are above all. i keep trying to remind them, i correct their misquotes, but its the fault of clergy for perverting the word. 4shame revmike420@gmail.com
