CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Politics will take center stage this weekend in Charleston.
Supporters from across West Virginia will be at the Charleston Civic Center on Saturday for the annual Jefferson-Jackson dinner.
Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer will be the keynote speaker for the event.
“Gov. Schweitzer gave a lively speech during last year’s National Convention and we look forward to hearing another dynamic speech from him this coming October,” Chairman Nick Casey said. “Forget the ghosts this Halloween, Republicans should be scared of hearing the truth and we, Democrats, will share the facts during our annual dinner this year. The truth is that Democrats are in sync with Americans and we are moving our nation in the positive direction. We are sure to have an exciting night.”
Governor Schweitzer is currently the chair of the Democratic Governors Association.
Schweitzer was elected governor in 2004, his first political office, and re-elected in 2008. He is also a farmer and rancher.
Tickets for the JJ Dinner can still be purchased by calling the State Democratic Party Headquarters at 304-342-8121. Tickets are $75 each or $1,000 for a table of 10 tickets.

Well that's just great...this is all we need in our area, a bunch of these rodeo clowns coming to to town. I guess it could be worse, at least it's none of those North Dakotans making the trek. Well, while everyone else enjoys the carnival, I'll be cleaning my AR.
Now, I ask you who really wants to see another Democrat shoot the bull? Not me...
