Websites such as myspace and youtube are popular for many young people. These site are also becoming more popular with police as they catch people in the act of a crime.
Same county, different website... a case involving vandalism video posted in youtube.com, now a new case -- this time involving six people, four of them teenagers on myspace.com. The Pike County, Kentucky Sheriff's Department was investigating a case of an empty house being vandalized. That's when they received a tip that changed everything.
Nic Newsome of Crum, West Virginia, Kayla Rose, Ashley Butcher, Jessica May , Danielle Paolo and Tina Evans, all from Belfry, Kentucky, were arrested after police say they posted video of themselves breaking into, vandalizing and stealing items from a vacant home.
Sgt. Mike Crawford with the Ashland Police Department says as technology evolves, so to their investigations and now police are using websites like myspace and youtube to catch people in the act of committing a crime.
Crawford says online evidence often proves invaluable but that investigator have to know how to use the sites in order to get information.
Police say it's a growing trend for young people to perform what they call pranks and post the videos online for their friends to see. The six suspects in the Belfry break in were charged with burglary and criminal mischief. Their video has been removed from myspace.com.

Why are all the people that have gone into this house not being charged. I know that some of them are underage but that just seems to be selective law enforcement or is it just to cover for someone????
Vandalizing includes breaking things there genius.
They did not vandalize stuff. They just broke a few things. so shut up.
