PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Voters will go to the polls Tuesday to decide whether two cities can allow alcohol sales.

Both Elkhorn City and Coal Run are having wet-dry elections.

In Coal Run, voters will decide if restaurants with more than 100 seats can sell alcohol.

In Elkhorn City, the proposed sales are for both restaurants and stores.

Wet supporters in both cities say alcohol sales will boost the economy, but opponents argue it will do more harm than good.

It is bad to sell a drug like alchahol anyway but they are driving longer distances to get it and that puts more people at risk when a drunk has a beer run, these towns have a bigger problam with other drugs so maybe the taxes from this can pay more cops for that problem

Opponents argue it will do more harm than good. Is that really going to cause problems? Don't you think that if the Problem people can get it closer to home they might not be on the road as much while they are drinking? You and I both know that some one that drinks full time cracks one open on the way back to the pad.
