No word on the damage to the other house.
A motor home that was parked nearby was also damaged.

I feel sorry for Mr Nickells, he is somewhat difficult to deal with at times, but he has no family except a sister and the house is all that remained of his mother. And while he is my cousin, my heart goes out to the neighbors as well iam sure the cleaners had insurance, where as with Mr Nickells didnt more than likely. City houses always have a chance of this because of the closeness, Lee has been a victim of vandalizm on a few accounts and i dont think the law was to fair with the vandals whom they caught before i dont think they ever paid for the damages they done to a vehicle he had parked nearby. If i was a bettin man i would say its arson
The fire was in the 2000 block of 8th St. The block is still closed at this hour. I grew up in that block and it is sad to see, although the neigborhood has change drastically over the years. Thank God no one was hurt. My heart goes out the the Queens who own Star Cleaners for they have had that many years. Another home in that block caught fire a few weeks ago....no word on that on the news or in the local paper. Just sad, but again, thank God no one was hurt.
