PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WSAZ) -- The two teens who police say ignited two smoke bombs at Prestonsburg High School Wednesday morning are expected to be in court Friday.
No one was hurt, but the students, 15 and 16 years old, are charged with arson and wanton endangerment.
A burn spot on the Prestonsburg High School hallway floor marks where police say two students set off the first smoke bomb when students were going to their first class.
Prestonsburg High School Principal Ted George says the flames and smoke sent 200 students running to get away. The fire was in front of the exit door so no one could get outside. He says some students stomped out the fire.
A few minutes later, the assistant principal then saw out his window the two students lighting another smoke bomb where students were getting off buses.
"He immediately ran outside and got those two students and brought them back in. They admitted to it," Principal George said.
Police say the teens put ping pong balls inside aluminum foil and lit them on fire.
The teens' names are not being released. They are being held in the juvenile detention center in Breathitt County.

Kids, you better watch out. Soon they will put you in prison because of a paper wad. All children must be perfect in our new perfect society. One of these days someone is going to try to breed the perfect blond haired blue eyed race and take all the guns. Wait a minute, didn't Hitler try that? Well boys, you better start acting like good little girls or you will get in trouble by the likes of Hillary and Nancy. Face it men, we are doomed.
schools are so silly any more let this go my god just a smoke bomb
