NEW BOSTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- No arrests have been made in a breaking and entering at the Desco Federal Credit Union in New Boston on Thursday.
Police tell WSAZ.com that the suspect(s) entered the building by smashing a window sometime between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Thursday morning. The break-in was not discovered until the first employee came to work for the day.
Investigators say cash was taken from teller drawers, along with a large number of gold dollar coins.
Police are not sure why the credit union’s alarm system did not alert them to the break-in. They say tests show it was working.
Anyone with information is asked to call New Boston Police at 740-353-3101.

I live in New Boston and my husband vechile was broken into early Sat. morning and his cd player was ripped from the dash. The cops are not protrolling the area and they need to make an effort to do so!! I have lived in New Boston for the past year and my tire has been slashed, my car broken into, and my husband window busted out and cd player stolen while parked in the privacy of our own driveways!! We are currently looking for a new clean place to start a family!!!!!
The phone number in your story is wrong ... that is the number of the Portsmouth Daily Times. Which is likely where you heard this story in the first place. The NBPD number is 740-456-4109.
