COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- An Ohio inmate fighting the state's new execution procedure is asking a federal court to intervene.
Kenneth Biros is scheduled to die December 8th. He would be the first inmate executed under Ohio's change from a three-drug intravenous lethal injection to a one-drug injection, with a two-drug muscle injection as a backup
His attorney filed papers late Friday asking for a hearing by the full 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati.
A three-judge panel of the court ruled Wednesday that Biros' execution could proceed. A message seeking comment was left Saturday for the state attorney general's office.
Biros killed 22-year-old Tami Engstrom near Warren in 1991 after he offered to drive her home from a bar.

I have an Idea....lets put a military uniform on em' and toy rifle on em' air drop em' out over enemy front lines. when the bad guys come out to shoot at em' ....well the enemy shoots the criminal (thinkin he's a true Anerican)....we shoot the bad guy and the criminal has served a useful purpose for all we've invested! duh!h an "IF" he/she make it out alive....then pardon them. come to think of it.. sounds like a good way to send military "detaines" home.
these criminals conviceted of capitol crimes have proven they are not humane to others. I say the lethal injection is not good, instead they should go back to Ole' Sparky (Ohio's Electric Chair) Works correctly EVERY time!
REV MIKE DID NOT post the last message using his name. I just wanted to let everyone know that "trying to become a celebrity on an annonymous chat board is vain and a little weird." - each post really, should just have an "annonymous" name attached to it. The thoughts and postings should be a collection of community conscience. The community does not require any guidance from regular visitors with monikers that are redundant and easily impersonated. Furthermore, to state that someone is not a reverend without knowing them is wrong. Last time I checked, there are absolutely no qualifications, certifications or prerequesites required to attain the title "Reverend."
