HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Bessie Holley was chosen Wednesday night as the new president of the Cabell County School Board, and Suzanne Oxley was elected as its vice president.
Those actions came after the recent death of former President Tedd Barr.
Since Holley and Oxley both already were on the board, the board has 45 days to fill the remaining seat left vacant by Barr's death.

Fair is fair, the position should go to Nancy Newfeld if she still wants it. She came very close to beating Barr in the last election, and she would be a terrific addition to the Board.
