Country Music Star to Examine Mining in WV

Kathy Mattea is coming home to get a closer look at mountaintop mining. The country music star wants to see for herself what's happening in her home state.

Mattea plans to take an aerial tour of the coalfields near Charleston next Tuesday.

Some of you may not know this but both of Mattea's grandfathers were coal miners. Her current music project is a collection of songs about coal.

She's from Cross Lanes.
