HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two armed robberies in Huntington Sunday evening could be connected.
Huntington Police say a person was mugged near the Douglas Center on 10th Avenue, and a little later a Papa Johns Pizza delivery man was robbed at gunpoint in the 900 block of Bruce Street.
Police say they used K-9 units to track down a possible suspect on 9th Avenue at 918 13th St.
A large crowd formed and Huntington Police called on West Virginia State Police to help them keep everything under control. One woman was arrested for obstruction after she started yelling and cursing at police officers.
No word yet if anyone has been arrested in connection with the robberies.

To: someone, your right, we can solve this problem, just make from 8th street to 22nd street' and from 8th ave to the southern city limits off limits to HPD, and you so called concerned citizens can handle it.
To the people who werent there you dont kno what happened therefore you dont kno what you are talkin bout. I was there and saw the harsh force they used against the people who HPD never even arrested for anything. They were mad when people came outside of their homes to film them being deceitfull, rude, and out of line to not only the accused but the community's people who were concerned. They didnt want no one filming them b/c of what they did to Joe. They dont want nothing on tape to show how they really are.Its the truth my father is a dea agent and saw many illegal acts on HPD's part. Its only a matter of time before this problem is nationally known. To bad news crews cant give you the whole story because I have it all on tape!!
please elaborate on "a crowd gathered". You are investigating an armed robbery and you let a crowd stop you? Who owns these streets? It is time for the citizens of this community to stand up and not except the street punks. I am tired of watching the news and seeing the elders standing up for the wrong doers and blaming the police. You will always be on the bottom of the food chain without personal responsibility. Sickening.
