Man Killed in U.S. 52 Crash Near Fort Gay; Name Released
A Pike County man has been killed in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 52 about one mile south of Fort Gay in Wayne County.

FORT GAY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One person has been killed in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 52 about one mile south of Fort Gay in Wayne County.
The crash was reported around 4:45 a.m. Monday.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office says the crash involved a railroad maintenance vehicle and a SUV.
The driver of the SUV was killed. The sheriff's office says he is Larry Ratliff, 40, of Pike County, Ky.
The sheriff's offices says Ratliff was heading north when he crossed the center line and hit the truck owned by Sperry Rail Services head-on.
The driver of the truck and two passengers were not hurt.
No word yet why Ratliff crossed the center line.
U.S. 52 in the area of the crash was closed for nearly 5 hours following the crash. It reopened around 9:30 a.m.
