CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Six newspapers in West Virginia will carry lists this month of people entitled to shares in millions in unclaimed property held by the state treasurer.
The inserts will run in newspapers in Beckley, Charleston, Ripley, Wellsburg and Wheeling.
The lists contain the names of 13,000 people with legal claims to bank accounts, matured insurance policies, stocks, bonds, safe deposit box contents, weapons and other items abandoned by their original owners.
State Treasurer John Perdue said his office led all other state treasuries last fiscal year in returning 82 percent, or $14.9 million, of what it took in.
Since taking office, Perdue has returned more than $100 million in 716,561 unclaimed property accounts worth more than $152 million.

I know this article has nothing to do with the Perdue situation however, since the comment was made earlier....this man, daughter, the professor...all were cleared. Let it go! Besides, it isn't any different in giving grades to athletes that are not deserved and we know this goes on at all higher learning institutions. Leave this poor girl alone. It is OVER!
This site will allow you to search all the names WVSTO has on its UCP list.. http://apps.wvsto.com/eclaims_new/ .... or call UCP Hot-line at (800) 642-8687 and they can search EVERYTHING even if it is under 50$.. and be happy that WV isn't like some states that allow property that isn't claim within approx 20 years become property of the state.. at least here it can ALWAYS be claimed.. and for them to print all the names on the list, the book would be the size of a phone book.
Joe and the boys don't like this.
