Gearing Up for 'Healthy Tri-State's Biggest Loser'
Losing weight and gaining a healthy lifestyle can be a challenge. But many are also turning that fitness challenge into a contest. The winners gain better health, and that's the whole point of our own show here -- "Healthy Tri-State's Biggest Loser."

CHESAPEAKE, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Losing weight and gaining a healthy lifestyle can be a challenge.
But many are also turning that fitness challenge into a contest. The winners gain better health, and that's the whole point of our own show here -- "Healthy Tri-State's Biggest Loser."
WSAZ.com's Randy Yohe, the show's host, found some local folks in the Chesapeake, Ohio, area who are already well into the challenge.
The premiere episode of the "Tri-State's Biggest Loser" will air at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, on WSAZ NewsChannel 3.

I am in the Fayette Volunteer Fire Department Biggest Winner program after only weeks the group lost 34 pounds on exercise and watching what we ate. Its a great program we meet once a week to work out together and share information.

I agree with Debbie. You have to have get off your duff some to lose weight, as well as eat less, esp. processed and fast foods. You can't simply go through the drive through everyday, or better yet, eat at the buffets, and wonder why you are gaining weight. The mind set has to change or the will to reduce the intake and what is eaten, will not change, or will be a short term thing.

Both of you are missing a vital part of losing weight and that is excersizing. It is time that not only we cut out processed food, fast-food, and fried food; but we get out and move out from in front of the television set and do something physical. Play with the kids, ride bikes, walk the dog, dig out the roller skates, go sled riding, or just walk around and see your neighborhood, who knows maybe you will meet some of your neighbors.
